As you can obviously tell I haven't posted anything since last Thursday and haven't ran since last Tuesday. I mentioned in those last couple of posts about some pain near my calf and I decided that it would be best to take a small break from running to hopefully let it go away.
I am anxious to see if this pain has subsided in that recovery time. I had a nice two mile run this morning with a brand new Nike+ sensor (and as you can tell it needs to be calibrated which I did after this run)
I was not running that quickly! Trust me. It was an even two miles according to Runkeeper and my city block math of eight blocks equals a mile.
A total time of 20:34 for two miles - 10:34 first mile and 10:00 for the second. Give or take a few seconds for each. I am happy with this after skipping two scheduled runs and think that the rest helped.
Tomorrow's four mile run with some tempo intervals should be a test.
